Policies Reminder

In the world of professional massage therapy, working full time is approximately 20 to 25 hours per week. That's an average of 4-5 hours per day. We'll be the first to admit, that after more than five hours of demanding physical labor, the quality of massage decreases significantly. That is why we are committed to working at most four to five hours of massage per day. We want you to have an exceptional massage every time you come in for a treatment. We are not interested in overworking ourselves and understand that you're spending hard earned dollars so you can gain the benefits of relaxation and the release of muscular tension. It is for these reasons that we limit the hours of massage performed on a weekly basis and have specific policies regarding appointments.

Experiencing Flu-like Symptoms?

Please remember that when you are down with the cold or flu, the best thing is to stay home and rest. If you have a scheduled appointment but start having flu-like symptoms, please call us immediately to reschedule. It is our policy to turn away all clients who are experiencing cold and flu-like symptoms. Massage Therapy is contraindicated when one is sick because it can actually make you feel worse. We also do not want to expose our other clients to your illness. We will make every effort to reschedule your appointment in a timely matter. Thanks!

Here is a review of our policies

  • You must have an appointment prior to your arrival at Gaia Massage & Yoga, LLC.
  • If you are late arriving to an appointment, it is up to the provider to determine whether or not they can and will extend the appointment time to accommodate your tardiness. Because of scheduling, we may not be able to. It is best to arrive a few minutes early to your scheduled appointment, especially if you'd like to pick out an essential oil or it is your first time with us.
  • If you have to cancel an appointment, kindly give us 24 hour notice, so we have the opportunity to offer that time slot to someone else. If you cancel in less than 24 hours, you are responsible for 50% payment of the reserved time. In the event you miss a scheduled appointment entirely, you are responsible for 100% of the time reserved.
  • Those writing checks for payment must have their MT Driver's License printed on the check or show DL to the therapist. This is for our protection against fraudulent check writing.
  • All returned checks will be issued a fee of $25.00.
  • If you feel like you are coming down with the flu or a cold, please do not come in for your scheduled appointment. Call as soon as flu-like symptoms begin. Not only is massage therapy contraindicated when one is sick, but one also exposes others by coming in.
  • For evening, weekend and in-home/office appointments, we reserve the right to apply special rates to these times.
